Yuvraj, who underwent three cycles of chemotherapy for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, returned to the country to a rousing reception from adoring fans in New Delhi on Monday 09 April 2012.
His head, which went bald during the treatment, was covered by a red sports cap. Wearing a red T-shirt teamed with Khaki pants, Yuvraj made his way through hordes of fans and waiting media personnel after coming out from back gate of the airport.
Flashing a victory sign and a smile, the 30-year-old walked through patiently towards a white Audi SUV, which drove him to his Gurgaon home from the IGI airport.

Being the first official interaction with the media after returning from the US post-cancer treatment. Doctor Nitesh advised a strict protocol adherence for the conference to the media guys and confirmed this conference as the first and last press meet till Yuvraj gets fit 100%.
Yuvraj Singh thanked all the million fans who prayed for him and shared many instances of pain and misery during the tumor ailment in US. "Learning cooking from Mom" was one of those moment of his time in US and even the difficulty to move and walk during chemo therapy sessions.
During his stay in IU Hospital - Indianapolis, Yuvraj remembered the book of lance armstrong which he left unfinished in his earlier life, while talking about Lance armstrong in conference , he was full with praise and comfort support to the cyclist legend.

"Waking up on a sneeze of yuvraj at 4 in the morning or cooking food all day, she didn't let me think about the disease. She held me with more strength and courage through the whole time. " he added.

Wishing good luck to his IPL Franchise Pune warrior India, Yuvraj even remembered his happiness on Sachin's 100th ton. Even looked really happy to see the performance of Pune Warriors under Ganguly's Captaincy.
So now the whole cricketing universe prays for Yuvi to get healed up quickly and wear the NUMBER 12 jersey of Indian cricket team and make us proud again.

While addressing the media after coming back from three month medical treatment, Yuvi talked about his future plans and various moments about his treatment he underwent in the US.
Yuvraj's mother spoke to the media outside their home. He said it was like "India winning the World Cup again" to see his son back home.
"It is like winning the World Cup again. I am very happy that he is back. The entire nation has been so nice. We are very grateful to everybody for all those prayers, he is fine now and needs 10 to 15 days rest."

Man who motivated Yuvraj the most during his ailment, Lance Armstrong even sent a healthy recovery message to yuvraj singh, which was flooded with tweets at that time on twitter and other social networking sites.
