Jannat 2 - Welcome to Heaven Again is a upcoming Bollywood crime thriller film and a sequel to the 2008 hit film, Jannat. The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh, and produced by Mukesh Bhatt and Mahesh Bhatt under the Vishesh Films' banner. Emraan Hashmi, Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta will feature in lead roles. Its storyline is based on the issue of illegal arms in Delhi. The film started filming on October 1, 2011, and is scheduled for release on April end or First Week of May, 2012.
Earlier, actress Prachi Desai was signed on to play the female lead opposite Hashmi, but was later replaced by Esha Gupta, due to the fact that the director, Kunal Deshmukh, felt Desai could not fit the part of being bold and sensual, while Desai also was not comfortable with it. Bengali actress Paoli Dam was also reported to be considered for the female lead.
The makers of Jannat 2 are receiving much flak online. Reason: buzz is that the poster of the film has been ripped off from 2011 Hollywood film, The Mechanic. Both the posters have similar artwork, and as soon as the poster was made public, people noticed the similarity.
Meanwhile, the promo of the film, starring Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta, has generated buzz that the film is inspired by Nicolas Cage’s Lord Of War.

The opening scene of the promo is similar to the opening scene in the hit Hollywood flick, where Cage gives out statistics about international arms deals. However, director Kunal Deshmukh defends, “I don’t think my teaser poster is similar to The Mechanic’s. Mine is a thematic poster about a man who sells guns and I think this was the best way to show it. There seems to be some similarity in colour and theme, but it’s unintentional.

Synopsis of Jannat 2 movie review
Emraan Hashmi arrives in style. The story is set in Delhi. The illegal arms racket seems to be flourishing in Delhi. Jannat 2 is full of Delhi slangs. Melodious music is the highlight of Jannat 2. Esha Gupta is still to develop chemistry with Emraan Hashmi. Randeep Hooda looks really cool as a cop. His masculine appearance complements the character. Emraan Hashmi can't resist himself from kissing. A sudden twist in the tale marks the interval. Jannat 2 is masala film with good production values but don't expect anything extraordinary from the film. It captures the flavour of Delhi. This city seems to be the perfect backdrop for this story.
